Class Descriptions ~

Yin Yoga:
Long held floor postures done with the muscles relaxed to release the deep
binding tensions of the body, and facilitate meditation practices. This practice is ideal for anyone; beginners, experienced practitioners, all ages and abilities.  Yin Yoga at Satori has most recently been prescribed for many individuals living with chronic pain, injury, strain, and emotional/mental health concerns.  We incorporate varying concentration and meditation practices with the Wednesday evening practice. 
Satori is a Yin Yoga Teacher Training facility at the 100 hour level, and Stephanie is an international teaching assistant for her teacher, Paul Grilley.

Note: Yin for Runners is now being offered on Monday at 4:45pm, as a practice to complement the varying physical concerns unique to runners, but also inclusive to all types of athletes, even the weekend warrior!

Ayur Yoga:
Blending the stillness of Yin with the dynamic fluid movements of Yang. Based on the principles of Ayurveda and the five elements theory from Chinese Medicine, we work with the movement of the Vayus (winds) in the body, and channel them in particular directions to promote balanced health and vitality. This practice combines standing work emphasizing stressing the bones, and infuses the Yang practices such as the Dragon and Warrior Series, as well as long held Yin floor postures.  Stephanie is the only Certified AyurYoga instructor in New Brunswick. 
Note:  mats are not required for Ayuryoga class!

Vinyasa Yoga:
Dynamic, continuously moving practices, which intelligently links the movements and the breath together. This is a challenging practice, not suitable for beginners.  Must have previous Yoga experience.

Kripalu Yoga:
From the teachings of Swami Kripalu, the practice of compassion; postures performed slowly, may be held longer, and meditation in motion is woven throughout the practice.  In this challenging practice we coordinate breath with movement while enabling ourselves to explore and fully appreciate the benefits of coming out of postures. As we constantly strive to strike a balance between movement and stillness and  holding and releasing, we look inward to take in the sensations while slowly inching away from the entanglements of the mind. 
 

Gentle Yoga:
A fluid, physical practice, suitable for all ages and ability…gentle enough to relax, but challenging enough to strengthen…
 


Flow & Yin:
Combines the gentle movement practices along with the opening benefits of Yin Yoga.  This practice is suitable for all levels and is taught by both Jenny Rolls (Flow) and Natalie Brewer (Yin).

Prenatal Yoga:
Just as it sounds, for pregnant ladies at 14 weeks and  beyond… Please contact Jenny privately to discuss your pregnancy and needs 

Viniyoga:
Evolved from the teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya, emphasis placed on individual differences, and adapting the postures to those needs. This practice does flow more like a traditional Vinyasa practice.


Restorative Yoga:
A restful and relaxing practice, used to re-establish health in the body and mind. Refresh, renew, restore…
This practice will return to the schedule when Helen returns from her maternity leave :)

FitCamp:
